What's a request credit?

A single request credit allows access to one Map View or one call to any of our APIs (Search, Reverse geocoding, Autocomplete, etc). We do not charge for unsuccessful requests.

What's a Map View?

One map view is equal to 15 individual map tile requests (256x256 pixels). For Street maps, 1 map view = 1 request credit. Map views for Satellite tiles are calculated as per your billing agreement with us. Confused? Use this page to understand how this works!

What are your licensing terms?

You may use our free plan in commercial projects if you spread the love by adding a link to us on your website or app in this format: "Search by LocationIQ.com"! Please also read our Terms of Use. Other than that, not much else. :-)

Do I get a discount?

We pride ourselves on being the most affordable geocoding & maps provider around! That said, we can give you 10% off if you pre-pay yearly. If you're a student or non-profit reach out to us and we'll make something work! :-)

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit & debit cards. All payments are processed securely using Zoho and Stripe. Your card details are never seen by LocationIQ.

For larger plans, we support wire transfers.

Can I change my plan anytime?

You can upgrade anytime you need more capacity! Since we bill month to month, however, we can only downgrade you at the end of the current cycle.

Can I pay in another currency?

Please write to us about the currency you'd like us to bill you in, we'll do our best to add support for it!

Do you have higher volume plans?

Yes! We work with customers that make over a billion requests each day! We can work with you and customize a plan for your requirement! Just tell us about it!
